INTERSTEL TECHNOLOGIES PARTNERS WITH HITIDE

Honolulu, HI (October, 2023) - At the beginning of this year, Interstel Technologies™ joined the 2nd Cohort of HITIDE along with four other teams. Cohort 2’s focus is on innovating and advancing technologies to improve our way of life. In an era defined by innovation and entrepreneurship, HITIDE stands as a dedicated ally to UH-affiliated startups, offering them the support and guidance needed to navigate the challenges of technology development and commercialization successfully.

Through the HITIDE program, Interstel Technologies™ plans to fortify our business foundations and propel technology development and commercialization by achieving the following key objectives:

1. Validating Our Technology's Product Market Fit: HITIDE assists entrepreneurs in the crucial process of identifying and confirming the market suitability of their technology, ensuring alignment with real-world demands.

2. Securing Funding for Our Product Development: HITIDE facilitates access to vital resources, including contracts and federal grants, to fund the development of innovative products, helping startups bridge the gap between concept and realization.

3. Expanding Our Network of Innovation: Program participants gain valuable connections with a diverse network of innovators, subject matter experts, and strategic partners, fostering collaborative opportunities and knowledge sharing.

We are currently in Phase 2 of the program, which focuses on customer discovery and value proposition. Our participation will culminate with Phase 4, where we will present a community showcase of our technology and our progress.

Additionally, as part of Phase 2 of HITIDE, Interstel Technologies™ is participating in the National Science Foundation’s I-Corps Hub: Desert and Pacific Region. Over the course of a four-week remote training program, seasoned entrepreneurs teach participants how to test the market through customer discovery and how to create a business strategy. The assumption/hypothesis-testing, customer-focused discovery process helps to gather important insights in order to maximize impact. Thus far, CEO Trevor Sorensen and Software Engineer Lynzee Hoegger have successfully completed this program on behalf of Interstel Technologies™. Currently, Business Development Intern Emma Sharp is participating in NSF I-Corps’ 6th Cohort and working through the fast paced four-week training, where she is learning how to conduct and analyze customer discovery interviews.
